[As published in The Christian Science Journal, September, 1959]

The Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy, enjoins her followers to announce first the name of the author when quoting or reading from her published writings (see Manual of The Mother Church, Art. XV, Sect. 1) . It is also important to give the correct title of the hook. When reading or quoting from the book called Prose Works, one should announce the title of the specific book being used and not refer to Prose Works as the source. This term is not the title which Mrs. Eddy gives to any one of her books; it designates the published compilation of her prose works other than "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and the Church Manual.

For many college and university students, the fall brings the start of a new academic year. There is every opportunity for those who are Christianly scientific thinkers among these young people to demonstrate the divine Principle they profess to love and understand. Thoughtful Christian Science college organization members will make early plans for a fall reception for freshmen and newcomers. Weekly testimony meetings, during which gratitude is expressed for healings, guidance, and enlightenment, will commence. Prayerful preparations for Christian Science lectures will be completed. In their daily walk and conversation, organization members will strive to advance in the demonstration of their religion. All these consecrated workers at the outposts of learning bring to worldly thinking some measure of the kingdom of heaven.
