My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science was that of sinus trouble. At the time I was employed by the county treasurer and was typing assessment lists of legal notices for publication and having to meet a deadline. I was having medical help, and an operation had been planned. The pain was so intense that some days my employer and his wife would have to drive me home before I had completed a full eight hours.

It became necessary for me to work on Sundays in order to get my work out. One Sunday I had been asked to go out to lunch with a group, but I had declined in order to accomplish more before I had to go home.

When I was alone, I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner and ask for help. I had learned of this Science while in school, I had a classmate whose mother had been bedfast for several years and was healed through Christian Science. However, this was my first connection with Christian Science. After I had related my difficulty and fear to the practitioner, she said confidently: "Now, dear, you will be-all right. Just leave it to God." She gave me some other truths, and I went back to my work.
