Church Dedications

Llandudno, Caernarvonshire, Wales (First Church).

The formal dedication of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Llandudno, took place on Sunday in the new church edifice, Clarence Road, Craigydon, when the normal morning and evening services were augmented by the reading of a brief dedication address.

The address outlined the history of the growth of the Christian Science movement in Llandudno from the earliest services in 1904. In 1926 the group became Christian Science Society, Llandudno, Caernarvonshire, with due recognition by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. In that year the small Wesleyan Mission Hall in Queens Road was rented, and services continued to be held there until 1957, when the new edifice was completed. In 1937 the society's change of title was recognised by The Mother Church.
