With a heart full of gratitude for all the blessings I have received through Christian Science, I write this testimony, hoping it may help others as I have been helped by reading the testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and Sentinel. Forty-one years ago I took up the study of Christian Science, after I had had a bad siege of measles, which left severe aftereffects.

I was under medical care for several months; but gradually I grew worse, and the doctor's verdict was that I would live only a few weeks longer. At this time my parents felt I might be benefited by a visit with relatives in the West. While there, I was led to try Christian Science. One of my aunts had taken up its study after doctors at a well-known clinic could do no more for her, and as a result she received many blessings throughout the years that her family was growing up.

I had much to overcome, and my healing seemed slow for the first few weeks. There were times when I doubted if I would ever be a well person again, but I had a great desire for a better understanding of God and man; so I was faithful in my study and application of the truth. The understanding and encouragement of a Christian Science practitioner and of relatives and friends were a great help to me.
