MAN'S RICH INHERITANCE OF GOOD

The riches of God's love which are bestowed upon man as his heritage can be experienced by mankind individually and collectively as they recognize God's presence and power and utilize the spiritual thoughts coming to them from God, as revealed in Christian Science. The Apostle Paul stressed the thought of man's being the heir of God, the recipient of His riches, when he said (Rom. 8:16, 17), "The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ."

Paul was not speaking of some future time in which man would inherit God's great bounty. He wanted all mankind, as actually joint heirs with Christ, to see the importance of claiming this rich inheritance of all good today. The riches of Spirit are available for instant use by all men to the extent that they recognize and acknowledge their real, indestructible relationship with God as His reflection and perceive Him as the one Father, maintaining His sons and daughters.

This rich inheritance comes to mankind through the spiritual understanding of the Christ, Truth, through the knowledge that God has brought man into being to manifest His abundance of good. Christian Science teaches that what belongs to God belongs to man as God's reflection. Then man eternally possesses without fluctuation all the good that God has made.
