Many years ago when I became ill with severe back pains and other distressing symptoms, I received daily help from a Christian Science practitioner. I also held firmly to these statements in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 463): "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive," and (p. 181), "Matter, which can neither suffer nor enjoy, has no partnership with pain and pleasure, but mortal belief has such a partnership."

About two weeks later, after attending a Christian Science lecture, I passed a kidney stone. This occurred without any pain or discomfort. It was to me an excellent proof of the healing power of Christian Science.

Recently, while traveling in Europe, I was stricken with a severe form of dysentery. The manifestation became alarming. I cabled and later telephoned a practitioner, who helped me to realize that all action is under the government of the divine Mind, God. He lovingly assured me that God, good, never created any overaction or diseased action and that all true action is harmonious and perfect. This condition was overcome in a short period of time.
