RIGHT THINKING RESULTS IN RIGHT ACTING

All activity is the result of thought. Right thinking produces harmonious activity. Wrong thinking is objectified in erroneous action. Frequently we hear the expression, "That's a good idea." Where does a truly good idea come from? It comes from God, infinite, perfect Mind, the intelligent source of all right ideas.

Christian Science enables us to think and act from the basis of this perfect Mind and of its perfect reflection, man. When we employ a God-given idea in our affairs, the outcome is useful and successful activity. Our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, says (Pulpit and Press, p. 3), "Know, then, that you possess sovereign power to think and act rightly, and that nothing can dispossess you of this heritage and trespass on Love."

Christian Science teaches that spiritual consciousness is the only consciousness of the real man. This consciousness teems with the activity of divine ideas. The Psalmist sang (Ps. 139:17), "How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!"
