Many years ago I became seriously...
Many years ago I became seriously ill, and I was in great pain. Two doctors were consulted, and both wished to perform exploratory operations to which I refused consent. A specialist then examined me and sincerely tried to help me, but, like the other two doctors, he could not diagnose the cause of the difficulty or offer any relief.
I prayed earnestly to God for a healing. Soon after this I met a sincere student of Christian Science who saw my need. She spoke to me of God's love for all His children, of His allness, omnipotence, and ever-presence.
She told me of healings through Christian Science which she had experienced and witnessed. This gave me hope. I purchased the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and I was shown how to study the Bible Lessons from the Christian Science Quarterly. I studied earnestly and soon began to see improvement.
