LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Flintshire County Herald

Flintshire County Herald Holywell, Flintshire, Wales

In your [newspaper a] minister of ... Flint is reported as having spoken on Christian Science under the title of "Christian Deviation."

That there are legitimate points of difference between orthodox Christianity and Christian Science is indisputable, but so that your readers may be a little better informed, may I remark that in 1866, when Mary Baker Eddy discovered the spiritually scientific method by which Christ Jesus healed, no orthodox church would accept her finding as remotely possible.

Yet, in our day, many theologians admit that the advent of Christian Science has called the older churches back to the necessity of fulfilling all Christ's commands, including the healing of the sick.
