"Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and' his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matt. 6:33). Since taking up the study of Christian Science, I have found that this practical promise given to us by Christ Jesus has been constantly fulfilled in my life. I should like to express my sincere gratitude for all that this Science has done for me, and I hope this testimony will help others also to trust in God's infinite power.

In 1946 I was released from a prison camp as a disabled veteran. Thrown entirely on my own resources and confronted with almost unsolvable problems, I felt like a drowning man looking for something to which he can cling. Suddenly I recalled that my mother had told me that as a child I had experienced a healing in Christian Science after medical help had failed. It was a healing of inflammation of the lungs.

Now again material means could not help me. In fact, I had lost all my material possessions, including my home, and I was unemployed. I did not even know the whereabouts of my wife, who had also been placed in a prison camp. The realization that Christian Science could again help me as it had done in my childhood brought enlightenment to my thought.
