About two and a half years ago I was visiting in the home of a friend where some carpentry work was in the process of being finished. In order for the workmen to do the electric wiring, it was necessary to open up a small hatchway in one of the pantries to get into the excavation underneath. In entering this pantry, which had no window and in which the electric current was off, I stepped over the threshold and directly into the opening. I was caught by the rim of the hatch and held helplessly over the excavation.

I promptly voiced statements of truth and knew positively that I could not be brought into any condition or circumstance where divine Love was not present. In the space of about ten minutes I was able to crawl out unassisted and get to my feet. With the exception of a few bruises, which gave me no pain at all, I was all right. I carried out all the plans for the day and for the succeeding days of my stay in the home. The bruises quickly disappeared, and there were no other aftereffects.

Another proof of God's great love and protecting care for all His children was given me about two years ago when my son, an only child, passed on very suddenly. At midnight his wife telephoned me about it. Her need was very great, as was mine; and so there was a double demand on me to recognize the facts of undying Life. I immediately reached out prayerfully to God for a tender angel thought that would be the means of blessing and helping this young wife.
