Kahului, Maui, Hawaii (Society).

Members of Christian Science Society, Kahului, dedicated their church edifice on Sunday, March 23. The dedication took place during the regular Sunday morning service, which included the reading of a brief history of Christian Science activity oil Maui.

Earliest records available show that the first Christian Science meetings were held on the Valley Isle in 1915. What is now Christian Science Society, Kahului, had its beginning in May, 1928, when a small group of students gathered at Puunene to hold services and form a Sunday School. Three years later, in November of 1931, this local group was recognized as a Christian Science Society by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. During World War II, when larger and more suitable quarters were needed, services were held in the Masonic Temple, Kahului.
