I have always found the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals so helpful, and I think they are a most convincing way of presenting the message of Christian Science. They are the proofs not only of one's understanding of God, but of the great fact that Christian Science heals.

I should like to tell of an experience which occurred two years ago. I was suffering from such severe pain and dizziness that prayer and clear thinking seemed impossible. Since it was very early in the morning, I hesitated to call a Christian Science practitioner for help. In fact, I seemed at first unable to lift myself high enough in bed to dial a number. Realizing that the need was very urgent, I was able, with a supreme effort, to call for help.

That day and throughout the night there was no change for the better, but in the darkest hour an angel thought came. Part of the definition of "angels" in the Glossary of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy is (p. 581), "God's thoughts passing to man."
