The Television Programs Are Fulfilling Their Purpose

Public response to the television series, "How Christian Science Heals," is still increasing. This trend can be seen in reports from the Field and in the hundreds of letters received in Boston each week from viewers. There is abundant evidence that the television as well as the radio programs are removing ignorance of Christian Science, correcting misconceptions, and healing antagonism. Reports tell of inquiries by newcomers at our Reading Rooms, of increased attendance at church services, of new church members, and of physical healings.

From one Middle Western city comes this report:

"A woman called at the Reading Room to inquire about our church and its activities as a result of having viewed our TV programs for some time. She said before seeing the programs she had always thought of Christian Science as 'another of those strange religions.' The programs had changed her mind. She borrowed the textbook, 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures' by Mary Baker Eddy."
