THE HEALING WORD

The healing word is gently said
By those who are through Spirit led
To understand and to rejoice
That man reflects the Father's voice.
For to restore the sad, the lost,
Find harbor for the tempest-tossed,
To banish pain, to silence fears,
With love to stay the flow of tears,
Is more than easing men's distress.
Such work ascends to blessedness,
For brightly, with devotion's flame,
It glorifies the Father's name.
