Wellington, Kansas (First Church).

Dedicatory services for First Church of Christ, Scientist, Wellington, were held Sunday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Completed in October, the new church edifice has been in use since October 20, 1957....

The first interest shown here in Christian Science was in 1890 when two families of rural Wellington held services in their homes....At the same time, a small group in the town of Wellington was studying and seeking knowledge of Christian Science.
