THE TESTIMONY OF SPIRIT

In her book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 269): "The testimony of the material senses is neither absolute nor divine. I therefore plant myself unreservedly on the teachings of Jesus, of his apostles, of the prophets, and on the testimony of the Science of Mind."

As one examines inspired Biblical testimony and that of Christian Science, the conclusion must be reached that God is Spirit and that all creation is spiritual. However, the evidence of the material senses presents testimony which utterly denies the existence of Spirit and its creation. Yet mortal sense testimony is never real, because God is All.

Christian Science shows us how to gain the true evidence of God and His spiritual universe and how to experience its joys and blessings. Our work is to deny all material testimony, to reject it as unreal and untrue, and to replace it with the truths revealed by Christian Science.
