LISTENING TO GOD, OUR FATHER

Listening to God, our Father, we become conscious of His divine presence and of our at-one-ment with Him. Our listening to Him elicits the unfoldment of divine Mind as the all-knowing, inexhaustible source of scientific knowledge, divine inspiration, and revelation. This inflowing, true enlightenment comes when we reflect the God-bestowed qualities of humility and obedience.

Our expression of God's qualities furnishes us with a listening ear, a receptive heart, a responsive intelligence. Listening to our Father is not merely honoring Him. It is testing our own growth Spiritward. It is indicating our willingness and readiness to be guided, directed, and governed by Deity. Through exercising spiritual sense, we listen for, heed, and obey the Father's edifying utterances.

Listening brings us gloriously close to our Father-Mother, God, so near that nothing can claim to interfere with the indissoluble connection between Father and son, God and His spiritual likeness, man. The realization of this joyous unity shuts out materiality and opens consciousness to spirituality. It enables us to start from the correct premise of perfect God and perfect man.
