I am so grateful for all the help I have received through the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals that I too should like to contribute in the hope of helping others.

After spending three weeks in a hospital with what the doctor called spinal meningitis, I was sent home with the warning to do no work of any kind. I obeyed this instruction because I was quite fearful. About two weeks after I returned home, a growth developed on my body, and the doctor said it required an operation.

I had been ailing for so long that I finally rebelled, and I called a Christian Science practitioner, whose name I had heard mentioned. She very lovingly took up the work for me, calling my attention to a verse in the Bible which reads in part (Isa. 41:10), "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God." In a few weeks the growth disappeared, and in addition, the false law of inactivity which I had accepted as true was annulled. The fact is that I have been more active since that time than ever before. This healing occurred about twenty years ago, and I am grateful to say that it has been permanent.
