COURAGE
Who
, more than Paul, had reason to regret
Past errors and the havoc zeal had wrought?
Yet he could turn from sorrow's heaviness
And keep unclouded his enlightened thought.
Transformed by the effulgence of the Christ,
The scales of matter fallen from our eyes,
Like Paul, we can forget the things behind
And press on boldly for the promised prize.
