"THE GREAT ATTAINMENT"

No worthy aim is ever attained without effort, and to expect to accomplish the end without the means is to invite defeat.

Today, as in centuries past, mankind general is in subjection to the complexities of mortal existence, not knowing how to obtain freedom. Yet the mission of Christ Jesus was to show humanity how to be free from the bondage of materiality. He did this by revealing true selfhood, the reflection of God, as spiritual, not material.

The Master always bore witness to the truth, the facts of spiritual creation, and he steadfastly rejected the belief that creation is material. He acknowledged that God, Spirit, is the only creator and that His creation—man and the universe—is also spiritual and perfect, and therefore never subject to the vagaries of matter and its so-called laws. Jesus' understanding that the material creation is unreal enabled him to prove the nothingness of sin, disease, and death, the concomitants of this counterfeit creation.
