In the Bible we read (Ps. 107:15), "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" Words cannot fully express my deep gratitude for all the healings and blessings received through the study and application of the truths of Christian Science.

My first healing was of eczema, which covered both hands over a period of seven years. This condition appeared soon after I finished school and prevented me from taking full-time employment. Medical treatment was sought, and the irritating condition would clear for two weeks and then return. At last a skin doctor told me I could not be cured, and I became very despondent.

Also during this time my husband passed on after we had been married for only two weeks, and my mother passed on two weeks later. Through grief and anxiety, my eyes were affected, and it became necessary for me to wear glasses. At this point the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, was given me to read, and I requested the help of a Christian Science practitioner.
