THE DEMONSTRATION OF SPIRITUAL POISE
One of the most beautiful aspects of nature is a bird poised in flight. With wings outspread, it glided gracefully through the atmosphere. Impressive too is the example of an individual who walks calmly on, apparently unmoved by the storms and buffetings of daily living and controlled by the currents of Truth.
Such an example is seen in the experience of the prophet Daniel, who, although innocent of evil, was cast into the den of lions through the cunning deceit of his enemies. Spiritual strength and God-derived poise are pictured on his face and in his bearing, in some of the portrayals of his experience in the lions' den.
Spiritual poise is one of the indestructible qualities of God inherent in every individual. Poise is stability, or steadfastness, of character or purpose. It is an enduring quality of divine Love, which never changes and holds man forever in perfect harmonious association with God and with every one of His ideas.
