The confidence in the ultimate victory of righteousness over evil, love over hatred, truth over falsehood, and even life over death is both a reason for and a major result of sincere and genuine religion. All the great religions of the world express this confidence in one way or another, but no other system of religious thought can compare with Christianity at its best in dealing with this hope. The magnificent picture presented by John in this lesson is perhaps the most familiar part of the book of Revelation, because it does present the Christian hope so clearly.

There are several observations to be made about John's vision of the Church victorious. First of all, he foresees the fulfillment of the great commission to go and make disciples of all nations.
