In gratitude for the many testimonies...

In gratitude for the many testimonies that have encouraged and strengthened me, I want to tell of a few of the wonderful healings that my family and I have had through the application of the teachings of Christian Science.

I relied on this Science at the birth of each of our two children and greatly appreciated the efficient and loving help of a Christian Science nurse at each birth. A realization that the same power which controls the stars and the moon, the law of divine Principle, also governs every action and function of the real man helped me immeasurably during these experiences. As the children grew, there were many scientific healings accomplished, such as the healing of whooping cough, an injured elbow, burns, and other discordant conditions.

A few years ago, immediately after taking a part-time position, I began having trouble with one leg. It became worse as the weeks went by, and then the knee joint became so swollen that I could scarcely bend it to step up on the curb, and walking was very difficult. However, I kept on with my work, church activities, and family duties throughout the experience. Meanwhile I studied faithfully and had the help of a Christian Science practitioner.
