Over thirty-seven years ago my first healing in Christian Science took place overnight. I had been suffering from an abscess in my nostrils and had had several sleepless nights. One evening a friend who was a student of Christian Science came to our home. In the conversation I mentioned this condition, and she asked, "Why not try Christian Science?"

The next day my wife made an appointment with a Christian Science practitioner, and in the evening we went to her office and explained my case. The practitioner was very kind and said she would do some prayerful work for me. After she explained something of Christian Science to us, we went home. I slept through the night and awakened healed in the morning. This healing convinced me that Christian Science is the truth, and after making an earnest study of it I became a member of The Mother Church and later of a branch church, where I have served in various capacities.
