I feel that I have delayed altogether too long in giving a testimony of a few of the wonderful healings my family and I have experienced in Christian Science. When Christian Science was presented to me, my health was anything but good. I suffered from constipation and hemorrhoids and from rheumatism of many years' standing. At times I felt that these conditions were more than I could bear.

There was no Church of Christ, Scientist, near the place where we lived; so I wrote a practitioner in a distant city and asked her to do prayerful metaphysical work for me. This she lovingly consented to do. She sent me citations to read both in the Bible and in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I studied them diligently, besides reading Science and Health every moment I could spare from my work. In a short time the healings were completed.

Soon after World War I our son contracted a skin disease. He tried material remedies for some time, but they only aggravated the condition. He then consented to have Christian Science treatment. The practitioner who had treated me was asked for help, and in one treatment our son was completely healed.
