With joy and gratitude I wish to testify to the healing and protecting power of Christian Science. When I was a young child I was healed of smallpox. It was not necessary for me to remain in bed during this time, but I was able to play about the house. The healing came quickly, and all evidence of the disease disappeared. The practitioner who helped me also took up work for two other members of the family when a very few spots appeared on them. These spots disappeared almost overnight, and no more appeared.

A brother, who was very weak, thin, and delirious much of the time from typhoid fever and whose doctor had given up hope of his recovery, was healed and gained normal weight in a short while after he requested Christian Science treatment. The doctor said, when my brother met him later on the street, that there was no denying that Christian Science had saved his life.

Numerous healings have taken place in our family, including those of influenza, high blood pressure, a large growth on the neck, measles, mumps, what appeared to be pneumonia, results of accidents, and kidney trouble.
