ONE UNIVERSE INDIVISIBLE

God's universe is indivisible. Through spiritual discernment Mary Baker Eddy learned that "in the universe of Truth, matter is unknown." She records this fact in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 503).

The universe of Truth, or Mind, contains all within itself and is spiritually governed. Adherence to this fact results in a clear consciousness of man's unity with his Father-Mother God. Mind reveals and forever maintains its universe; Mind holds it together. Mind, divine Principle, never wavers. These truths are man's security.

The law of attraction is spiritual. Inharmony is unstable. Harmony, peace, and perfection are unchanging. As we understand these truths, we see that man and the universe are wholly spiritual. We see also that adhesion, cohesion, and attraction are elements of divine law. As Mrs. Eddy says (ibid., p. 124), "Adhesion, cohesion, and attraction are properties of Mind." It is logical, then, to deduce that man and the universe are not separate from God, nor is perfect man separate from perfect universe.
