In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mary Baker Eddy writes (p. 3): "Gratitude is much more than a verbal expression of thanks. Action expresses more gratitude than speech." It is my desire to express gratitude in action through giving a testimony of my blessings.

It was a privilege to be entered in the Christian Science Sunday School when I was eight years old and to have instruction there from sincere teachers. While at college I attended a nearby Christian Science Society regularly. On Wednesday evenings we all felt it our precious duty to give testimony to the healing power of Truth. This opportunity to participate in the expression of gratitude enabled me to overcome a sense of timidity.

Upon securing a teaching position in my home town, I joined the branch church at which I had received my Sunday School training. My willingness to serve brought great joy and satisfaction and an unfolding view of the grandeur of the Christian Science movement.
