"ATOMIC ACTION IS MIND"

Mary Baker Eddy's article "There Is No Matter," which appears in her book "Unity of Good," was no doubt more startling when it was published about a half century ago than at the present time, when matter is acknowledged by physicists to be expendable force.

Mrs. Eddy rested her contention that there is no matter upon the Scriptural teaching that God is Spirit, intelligence, and that Spirit is All. Matter has no quality of Spirit; it is finite, nonintelligent, destructible, and subject to disorder, and it is also destructive in its basic nature.
