It is a joyous privilege to give thanks to God for the healing power of Christian Science. The most outstanding healing I have had was that of heart trouble, which was believed hereditary. A medical doctor had said that the condition had been growing worse since I was a child and that my heart was greatly enlarged.

Although I took the doctor's medicine for several weeks, I got no better. But when I turned wholly to Christian Science, I was healed in a short time through the work of a practitioner. Much help came from these words in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 287): "Error is false, mortal belief; it is illusion, without spiritual identity or foundation, and it has no real existence." Each time the difficulty came to mind, it was strongly denied, and the truth was affirmed. I studied faithfully whenever I could get time to do so. The healing was complete and has been permanent.

Another healing was that of a severe stomach disorder. I had help from a friend who had been a student of Christian Science for a long time, and the difficulty was overcome in a few weeks. Colds and sore throat have also been healed.
