I am grateful that I have found Christian Science, and I know by the part of its teachings which I have proved that the whole of them is true. I have learned that the best method to obtain and retain harmony in my daily experience is to realize the spiritual, absolute truth about myself and others, rather than attempt to become spiritual by improving the material, or mortal. The manifestation of good in my experience has been brought about by a clearer concept of what is true and a release of what is untrue. In other words, the more clearly God and His manifestation are seen and felt, the dimmer the counterfeit appears.

Through Christian Science I have been healed of a diseased condition of an internal organ, for which I had had medical treatment for over a year. The smoking and drinking habits have been overcome, and the thought of my missing something because of the healing was seen as a sophisticated illusion. Lost articles have been found, and protection has been felt in storms when lightning was near. In my family there have been healings of kidney stones, measles, and mumps. Good health has been enjoyed by our child and has been acknowledged in the form of a school certificate of honor for promptness and attendance over a period of several years.

While traveling in a foreign country, I felt a peculiar swelling in my mouth. It so increased that I could not talk or eat. I could not speak the language of that country, and there was no practitioner in that city; so I mailed a card to a practitioner in another country. Since I was in great pain, my husband read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy to me day and night. After a few days something suddenly gave way, and I knew I was free. I got up and dressed, went to the service of the Christian Science Society in that city, and then took a ride. Although I still could not open my mouth to eat anything solid and had an impediment in my speech, I went with my husband the next morning to meet a friend who was arriving from America. In a few days I could eat and talk normally.
