WHAT IS CHRISTMAS?

Christmas marks the coming of him whose human birth ushered in the Christian era.

SUBSTANCE

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, gave to the world the true concept of substance—one quite different from that which is generally held.

DIVINE SONSHIP

The author of Hebrews wrote that Christ Jesus was made after the order of Melchisedec, who was "without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God".
Christian Science, God's revelation to Mary Baker Eddy, shows us the true nature of God and of man, His spiritual image, and thus awakens us from the dream of sickness, sin, fear, sorrow, and death.

"GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY"

In Luke.

A SONG OF BETHLEHEM

A village humble, still,The guiding star above;A shepherd on a hill,The mother-heart of love; The child of truth and grace,A world to pacify; An angel song of praise,And God to glorify.

"WHO DID HINDER YOU?"

One of the most comforting and vitalizing convictions which an understanding of Christian Science brings to humanity is that man is God's image and likeness.
While all may not feel impelled to read the Bible from cover to cover, the consecutive reading of it can be rewarding in bringing one a better appreciation of its literary value and a more spiritual insight into the characters and events it sets forth.

THE FAITHFUL GARDENER

Human consciousness is sometimes likened to a garden where error must be uprooted and good seed must be sown in order that one may experience fruitage in purity, health, and harmony.
Children and animals understand each other because they speak a language which does not need words, the language of love and trust and radiant joy.
Jesus is the great standard-bearer of Truth for all mankind.
All of God's ideas, dwelling in His infinite kingdom, are incorporeal, eternal, useful, wise, harmless, loving, and pure.
