"THE OUTLOOK IS CHEERING"

Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, frequently expressedd her gratitude for the progress of her Cause. She once wrote these words to a branch Church of Christ, Scientist (Miscellaneous Writings, p. 150): "The outlook is cheering. We have already seen the salvation of many people by means of Christian Science. Chapels and churches are dotting the entire land."

As students of Christian Science, should not we too joyously express love and enthusiasm for this Science and for its many activities? Those of us who are actively serving the Cause should continually give thanks in word and deed for the opportunity of sharing in the work. The Psalmist sang (Ps. 84:4), "Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee."

Christian Scientists wisely recognize the need for fully supporting their Leader. In so doing they are closely following the great Master, Christ Jesus, for through the various channels inaugurated by Mrs. Eddy they are likewise serving the spiritual needs of mankind. Jesus' humble and unselfish mission was directed by infinite Love. It resulted in healing the sinful, the sick, the brokenhearted. Today through our Leader's discovery we have the truth of divine Science, the comforter to all ages. There is much to be grateful for in the understanding of true service as the effect of Principle.
