I share this testimony in hope that it will help others. I was divinely led to Christian Science when all medical aid had failed. It was my desire to know more of the healing power that Jesus taught, for I had been sick for a long time and had been given only a short time to live. Doctors said that I should be operated on for an internal condition, but that I had an incurable heart ailment which might make an operation fatal.

A friend who was also in need of healing came to see me. I told her that I had heard of Christian Science and that although I knew nothing about it, I had made up my mind to investigate it at a Christian Science Reading Room. She decided to go with me. I dressed and walked several blocks to the Reading Room, where the librarian very lovingly told us something of Christian Science and loaned each of us a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I left the Reading Room with great hope. After reading part of Science and Health, I felt free and was able to go about my work, caring for my children and home. My friend had treatment from a practitioner and was also quickly healed.

My children had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School, and I became a member of a Church of Christ, Scientist. An outstanding healing I had through the help of a practitioner was that of blood poisoning in my hand.
