Christian Science has taught me the way of Life. It has taught me how to turn to God for the answer to every problem. The Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has given the spiritual interpretation of the Bible, whereby I have been able to experience healing of physical, financial, and moral difficulties. Through the study of these books I am learning to apply the divine law of Love to every situation.

I am grateful for a healing which proved this law of Love. At a time when it was necessary for me to nurse another, my limbs became stiff, weak, and painful. As I turned the searchlight of Truth on my consciousness, it was revealed that self-pity was robbing me of the joy of serving. Turning from crippling, fearful mortal beliefs, I consistently and vigorously applied the truth. I declared that I could do whatever it was my duty to do without harm to myself, because I was the reflection of God, the all-acting, all-loving, divine, supreme Father-Mother. It became clear to me that God was the source of all action and that I reflected harmonious, unfettered action. I knew that my strength was not in muscles but in God.

The definitions for "God" and "good" on page 587 of Science and Health were very helpful. Every call for service I answered at any hour with joy, willingness, humility, and gratitude. I declared that I was the servant of God and that my capacity for doing good resulted from the activity of Mind. A limping, crippling thought could not survive in an atmosphere pervaded with spiritual joy that leaps and bounds with love and gratitude for God's dear love. Uninterrupted activity was carried on, and no time was lost in discussing the condition. I experienced a complete healing.
