Out of gratitude for the many blessings our family has experienced through the understanding of Christian Science and with the thought that perhaps others may be helped by this testimony, I wish to relate a few healings.

I was an ardent follower of so-called nature healing until I learned of the instantaneous healing through Christian Science of a woman in a dying condition. This interested me, and I felt impelled to investigate what kind of power was in the teachings of this religion; so I borrowed the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. While studying it I saw that by the use of nature-healing methods I had unwittingly been practicing modern idolatry with respect to light, air, and water, and I immediately stopped the use of these methods.

When accidents and illnesses began to occur in our family I had to prove that my faith in God's omnipotence, omnipresence, and love was greater than my confidence in nature-healing methods. This I did through demonstration of the truth in Science and Health.
