"A grateful heart a garden is."...

"A grateful heart a garden is." These words in the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 3) remind me to express gratitude for the good that has come into our home through the study and application of Christian Science. Following are a few of the physical healings experienced in our family.

When my mother's arm was broken close to the shoulder it was healed without medical assistance in about one month. My father dislocated a kneecap and was brought home in great pain. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and help was lovingly given. A complete healing followed.

As a child I spent many unhappy days because of chronic bronchitis. Christian Science treatment was given, but the healing was not complete. After graduating from high school, I went to school in the East. With the first heavy snowfall the throat trouble returned in an aggravated form. On the recommendation of one of my teachers I went to see a practitioner. I shall never forget that experience. My throat was so sore that I could scarcely talk, and the tears came every time I tried to swallow. I related all my woe, stressing that I had been deprived of full activity many times because of the trouble.
