"ACQUAINT NOW THYSELF WITH HIM"

We have only to look out upon the universe, the sun, the moon, the stars, and to observe the ever-recurring loveliness of spring or autumn's pageantry in order to realize that there is a fundamental, rhythmic law governing all things. Those acquainted with astronomical law are enabled to read the stars and calculate, with scrupulous exactitude, an eclipse which may occur a great many years hence.

Our enjoyment of the arts and sciences is enhanced when we have some understanding of the laws pertaining thereto. The engineer, to be successful, must know and comply with mathematical law, the musician with the laws of harmony. Even in the minutiae of our daily experience, however humble seems the task, our fruitage and success are commensurate with our knowledge of, and obedience to, the rules applying to each activity.

Yet all of these rules and laws only hint at the great all-encompassing divine law of God. As a knowledge of the mathematical laws is requisite in everyday affairs, so it is of supreme importance, if we are to enjoy more abundant living, to have an understanding of the law of divine Life, the law which actually governs all activity.
