"O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together" (Ps. 34:3). Much help has come to me from testimonies given in the branch church of which I am a member and from those printed in our Christian Science literature. I am profoundly grateful to God that our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, was divinely led to make provision for testimonies in which we are privileged to express gratitude for healings brought about through the study of Christian Science. I have proved in my experience how necessary it is to be grateful for God's loving care and protection.

Some time ago I was suffering from sickness and diarrhea. Although the telephone was near, I was unable to lift the receiver. When the suggestion repeatedly came that I would pass on, I knew that God was my Life, the only Life there is. I realized that it was necessary for me to ask for help, and with great difficulty I was at last able to telephone a practitioner. Only a few words were spoken, but when I replaced the receiver I was free. I am intensely grateful to God for the healing power of Truth and to the beloved practitioner, whose clear realization freed me instantly.

One day, just after studying the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly, I accidentally put my hand on the hot plate of an electric cooker. Although the switch had just been turned off, the plate was still very hot; but I experienced no pain. I was grateful to know that there is no sensation in matter and that God, our loving Father, is ever present to care for His children.
