JUSTICE AND JUDGMENT THROUGH RIGHT IDEAS

As a result of divergent views concerning man's nature and status, confusion, fear, and uncertainty exist in many places as to the future security of nations. To get rid of fear, to establish confidence, to bring peace, comfort, prosperity, and justice to all the world and its peoples, is of course the great aim of all right-minded peoples. The understanding that all true existence is in God, Mind, that man exists as the reflection or idea of Mind, and that we may experience harmony and justice in our daily life by the reflection of right ideas is one of the great blessings which Christian Science has brought to our age. It is therefore the duty of each of us who is seeking to accomplish the greatest good for himself and others to direct his endeavors so as to bring about in every experience the proof of God's justice and judgment.

Since all creation and existence are in divine Mind, all right ideas necessarily come from that source and from no other. Man, then, has no activity, wisdom, strength, or power except that which is reflected from God. Since God is eternal wisdom and perfection, His law of perfect justice and judgment is ever operating in perfect harmony and completeness. Thus every idea of God fulfills its rightful and perfect purpose according to the divine plan. As these facts are grasped, human affairs are carried on without injury, injustice, or loss to anyone.

Jesus, the great Teacher and lover of mankind, saw clearly the difficulties under which the people of his time were laboring and how to master them. Basically, the problems people faced in his day were no different from those of today. True, the natural forces which have brought new inventions were not then understood. Conditions under which we live are different, but the problems of health, shelter, supply, and protection were fundamentally the same.
