I am grateful for the widespread means provided in the Christian Science periodicals to share experience of God's care. Since I have had Science as my only physician and Comforter all my life, I can testify to its effective protection. The thought of medicine as an aid never occurred to me as a child, and I was healed of chicken pox, measles, whooping cough, and other so-called childhood diseases. Now when I do prayerful work for my own children, it is helpful to realize that they are not dependent on material methods either. They willingly accept God as their healer, and my only responsibility lies in knowing "from whence cometh my help" (Ps. 121:1).

The birth of each of our three children at our home has been a harmonious experience because of the application of Christian Science. A few days before the second child arrived, the doctor said that the baby was in a position which would necessitate a breech delivery and that it would be preferable to have the delivery at a hospital. I silently refuted the belief that an idea of Principle could be out of place.

That evening the practitioner who was helping me reminded me of Mrs. Eddy's statement in the Christian Science textbook (Science and Health, p. 200), "The great truth in the Science of being, that the real man was, is, and ever shall be perfect, is incontrovertible; for if man is the image, reflection, of God, he is neither inverted nor subverted, but upright and Godlike." I realized that the only thing which needed reversing was my concept of body. Before retiring I replaced the false sense of a burdensome matter-body with the truth that man's only identity, or body, is his reflection of God.
