Onpage 330 of "Miscellaneous Writings" Mrs. Eddy tells us, "It is good to talk with our past hours, and learn what report they bear, and how they might have reported more spiritual growth." I find that I gain much good when looking back over my experiences in Christian Science, one of which is as follows.

An optician advised me to go to a specialist and have my eyes examined. I did this and received the very discouraging report that a growth was forming on one eye. One Sunday morning, as a hymn was being announced during a Christian Science church service, I started to reach for my glasses, which I had worn for many years. A still small voice said, "Don't put them on." While I marveled at the command, I was obedient. From that day, more than five years ago, I have never used glasses, and my eyes have been entirely normal.

I wish to express my gratitude for another healing experience. When the back of my head was severely cut, I heard myself speaking aloud the words, "It never happened." By persistently knowing the truths stated by Mrs. Eddy on page 424 of Science and Health relative to the fact that there are no accidents, I experienced little discomfort, and within a month all evidence of the cut disappeared.
