I am interested in your [recent] column of questions and answers where [an inquirer] asked, "Who originated the term 'Christian Science'?" Inasmuch as the answer was not correct nor complete, and I feel you would wish to publish the facts as given by competent authorities, I give you the following:

Rev. Lyman P. Powell, an ordained Episcopal minister, spent twenty-five years of research before bringing out his book "Mary Baker Eddy: A Life Size Portrait" in 1930. He states on page 106 concerning the term "Christian Science":
