Having received comfort and...
Having received comfort and encouragement from the testimonies of others in The Christian Science journal and Sentinel, I desire to submit my own. Never once during the years I have been interested in Science have I doubted that it is the truth.
Many years ago I suffered from a nervous breakdown. I lost much weight, took no interest in anything, and slept most of the time. Finally my mother took me on a trip to the West Coast. When we arrived at our destination an aunt, alarmed at my appearance, persuaded me to have treatment from a Christian Science practitioner. In a few weeks I was much improved, and we returned home. I soon regained my complete freedom and returned to work.
Some years later I was attacked by a peculiar condition that caused frequent expectoration of blood. I had treatment in Christian Science with no benefit. Then one evening my husband and I attended a Christian Science lecture. After the lecture I realized that I had been holding resentful thoughts about one who I thought was not acting rightly. These thoughts disappeared, and a feeling of kindness for this person filled my consciousness. The disturbing condition vanished, and there has been no return of it. At the same time a discharging ear was healed.
