It is with a heart full of gratitude...

It is with a heart full of gratitude and love that I submit this testimony of the blessings that have come to me and mine through the study and application of Christian Science. I took up the study of this Science not for physical healing, but for something that would satisfy me spiritually, which my religion at that time did not. I am very grateful that God led me to Christian Science, not only because of the physical healings I have had, but because of the spiritual uplift that has come to me.

I have had so many lovely demonstrations of the truth that it would take too much space to enumerate them all. Colds and headaches have been healed. Grief at the passing of loved ones has been overcome, and inharmony in the home has yielded to harmony. I try to do my own prayerful work as we are taught in Christian Science, but I have at times had to ask for help from practitioners, for whom I am very grateful.

When I was new in Christian Science, I was healed of high blood pressure. I was in a business that was very strenuous and called for long hours. Among the many people I met was a doctor. At his recommendation I allowed him to take my blood pressure. He became quite alarmed at the seriousness of my condition and prescribed a very strict diet for me. Instead, however, my thoughts turned to Christian Science, and I began to work for myself, as I was learning to do in this Science. A few months later the doctor came in and remarked on how well I looked. He asked if he might again take my blood pressure, and when he did so he was surprised to find that it was normal. I have since become a member of The Mother Church and a branch church, and I am truly thankful for our movement.—(Mrs.) Edith May Pitt, Miami, Florida.
