Fanny de Groot Hastings

Put off your shoes, your dusty shoes.
The pressure of the onward quest,
And bathe your feet in heaven's dews,
And savor sanctity of rest.

His sanctuary can be found
At any time, on any sod;
Here where you stand is holy ground,
And here the presence of our God.

No traveler need further seek—
Put off your shoes and here abide.
Christ, the companion of the meek
And Moses' friend, is at your side.
