Christian Science was brought into our home when I was a little girl. It found my mother an invalid with inflammatory rheumatism. She had been unable to walk for some time. Physicians from our city and specialists from a larger city had treated her, but could give her only temporary relief.

A couple who had moved into our neighborhood from another city saw my mother's condition and with hearts full of compassion called one evening. The man said that he had been healed in one Christian Science treatment of valvular heart trouble and the liquor habit. These neighbors told my mother that if she would have all her bandages removed and not use any material remedies, one of them would give her a Christian Science treatment when they returned home.

My mother knew nothing at all about Science and thought the procedure very strange, but in desperation she consented to do as they requested. The next morning she walked down to breakfast perfectly healed. She never had another twinge of rheumatism.
