The testimonies of healing in the Christian Science periodicals have long been a source of inspiration and encouragement to me. I should like to join in the glad song of gratitude which is rising from grateful hearts all over the world.

I became interested in Science through the healing of my mother, which followed many years of illness while she was under the care of doctors. My first healing, over thirty years ago, was an instantaneous one of constipation, a difficulty of many years duration. It occurred while I was reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy for the first time. As I caught brief but glorious glimpses of a new and inspired way to think and live, old fears and tensions faded out, and I was healed.

There followed healings in our family of croup, tonsillitis, bilious headaches, burns, poisoning, and other conditions. Protection from accidents was experienced, and worry, lack, and frustration were replaced by confidence, abundance, and progressive activity.

At one time a large wart appeared on one of my fingers. A relative asked why I did not use a material remedy. The answer was, "Because I am relying on the basis of all health, the truth which heals, protects, and maintains." Joyfully I dismissed further thought of the matter, and the next time I noticed the finger it was normal.

When loved ones passed from mortal sight, divine Love, sustained and lifted me above great sorrow. As the door closed on these cherished earthly relationships. Love opened a door to a heavenly sense of peace and comfort.

Recently I experienced a great proof of God's providence. After my husband passed on, certain unjust and difficult business conditions developed which seemed impossible to overcome. Earnestly I prayed to know that God's will is done and blesses all. After studying a Christian Science lecture, I suddenly saw the steps for me to take. The way was made plain, and the whole transaction was completed in a way that was far more favorable to me than any I had hoped for.

I am grateful for all the activities of The Mother Church; also for the great good evidenced in the lives of the faithful followers of our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who plainly shows us in her writings how to follow Christ.—(Mrs.) Louise B. Abbott, San Jose, California.
